I would highly recommend Gwen Hoover to any potential real estate client looking for honesty and integrity in business dealings. When I was trying to sell my home, she was the first in her office to show it and the first (and only) to give me any feedback on customer comments and concerns about the home.
Later, when I was in the market to buy another home, Gwen again represented me. It turned out to be a stressful situation because of another agent, but Gwen continually went to bat for me. Communication between the seller and myself was made totally clear and upfront because of Gwen´s efforts. She is an outstanding agent and her care and concern for me have gone far beyond the usual agent-buyer relationship. She has continued to check to see how the new house is suiting me and to offer help with new questions.
Since the real estate market is in such a precarious state, I believe that having an agent who will really be your advocate is essential. Gwen is the ONLY agent that says what she means and does what she says she will do. She is wonderful not only because she "knows her stuff" but because she truly cares for the individual customer and his or her needs!

I live in sunny California, and have bought several properties in my local area.
My goal for 2004 was to add out of state properties to my investment portfolio,
thus I began doing my research. My advantage was that I belong to a network of investors that can refer to me to agents in any of the 50 states. I heard
somewhere in passing that the Gulfport area was booming, thus I began to do my homework. As fate would have it, the agent that my network had referred me to would never return my calls, so out of frustration I began to search the web for a new agent. I typed in Gulfport MS plus real estate agent on my Internet browser, and came across the web page of Gwen Hoover. I saw her picture (very pretty might I add), and read her impressive list of qualifications/accomplishments.
Somewhere in the middle of the night I sent her an email, and truly never expected someone with her expertise to respond, but the next morning I had a return email, and a phone call from Gwen. I told Gwen what I was looking for, and she began to immediately send me listings of exactly what I wanted. Each listing came with detailed profile information on the neighborhoods, the rental ability, and her personal knowledge of the area.
This exchange took place for approximately 2-3 weeks. During that time Gwen went out and took pictures for me of the insides of properties, and even spoke to the owners on my behalf. Remember, at this point she did this without ever seeing me or even knowing who I was. Eventually, Gwen sent me a listing of a property that was a GOLD MINE. I immediately made travel arrangements the next day, with the help of Gwen, and off I went to MS for the first time in my life.
I had always heard the term of "Southern Hospitality", but Gwen took it to another level. She was so warm, pleasant, personable and just down home friendly, that we immediately developed a great relationship. That Gold Mine property that I spoke of, unfortunately the owners of the property accepted my offer, then later changed their mind. I was truly devastated, but had accepted my defeat, and moved on to other properties that Gwen had showed me. Un beknown to me, Gwen continued to fight on my behalf, which involved sending letters, and going up the chain of companions. We'll needless to say I eventually got that property, and from a financial standpoint I couldn't be more satisfied.
For my closing I flew back to MS with my mother who insisted on meeting Gwen because of my constant raving about her. Instantly my mother was engulfed by Gwen's infectious charm, and we officially made her a part of our family. While in MS for my closing, I actually bought another property, in which Gwen was able to negotiate a fantastic deal for me.
Due to the fact that I'm also a real estate agent here in Los Angeles, I'm
painfully aware of appropriate and fair treatment by agents, however after
dealing with Gwen who truly "spoils" her clients in a way that you assume that
she has no other clients in the world but you, I've learned/incorporated several
lessons from Gwen on how to perform customer service and have applied them to my own business practices.
Though my purchases in terms of dollar amount were relatively small, Gwen always made me feel important. After I became aware that Gwen is in the top ten Presidential circle at Prudential for the entire State of MS, I truly appreciated her attentiveness towards me even more.
